Gender Reveal Balloon
Hints & tips
Firstly, thank you for choosing a PIXEL Party balloon to celebrate the gender of your baby with friends and family.
We have put together a few hints and tips below to help you prepare your balloon with ease and maximise impact on the big day.
Your balloon is suitable for both helium and air, however it is worth noting that if you hang tassels etc. from your balloon this will impact the balloons ability to float with helium.
To fill a 36" Balloon fully you need 15 cubic feet of helium equivalent to one F50 canister. You can under fill these balloons to save on helium, to fill to 30" requires 8 cubic ft of helium
It is not necessary to fill you balloon with helium, in fact we think it looks great sat on top of a pink and blue balloon tower like the one in our video
If you have opted for our powder balloon you may find that a small amount of powder has escaped from the triple packed bags and made its way onto your balloon. This can either be brushed off or wiped off with a damp cloth. The powder will not stain and will wash straight out of clothes

Filling your balloon can be a little challenging, especially with the powder option so to make things easier we recommend making a funnel from a sheet of A4 paper. Ensure the opening is approx. 2cm in diameter. secure with with tape.
Insert the tip of the funnel in to the neck of the balloon and shake gently so the media flows into the balloon
You may have noticed that the balloon has a seriously large valve so on its own will be tough to inflate.
To combat this double wrap an elastic band around the neck of the balloon like in the pic.
Place the neck of the balloon over the balloon pump valve and pull the band so the other band loop tightens around the valve. This will seal the balloon around the valve and prevent air from escaping.
Your balloon can be inflated to 36" if you wish. However we have found that best results come from filling it to approx. 25-30" (diameter of widest part)
This seems to give the best spread of powder or confetti
The key to making sure your balloon has impact is to create static.
So grab yourself a woolly jumper and rub it all over the balloon in little circular motions.
Now rotate balloon in all directions to spread the media over the whole surface. This step should be done as close to the pop as possible to obtain best results
